The best plan for screaming is DRA ( differencial reinforcment for Alternate
behavior) ....this works much faster than straight out extinction ...such as
ignore screaming and do nothing else...and the humans loose it almost 98% of

Many of you have new babies and aviaries ( and neighbors!) and want to keep this "learned" behavior from starting ...or want to stop an on going screaming behavior in it's tracks ...What I have learned in working with training animals is that the one you have to work on changing the MOST is the humans ...LOL! Here is an article I want to share ...it is important and if I can keep just one little bird from loosing his/her home ...I will be thrilled!
