I'm interested in buying a Meyers Parrot and was wondering if anyone knows of a breeder? I'm located in Pennsylvania and am willing to travel some. Please help! Thanks very much.

The pet store where I got my Buddy has two babies right now from the same parents. I was in playing with them yesterday - they're so sweet and curious.
It would be a long trip for you though - I live in Ottawa, Ontario. Also, I'm not sure how it would work to bring a bird across the border?
You'd certainly be getting a lovely, amazingly tame, beautiful bird though - maybe its worth the drive???

Check with the customs people on the US side of the border, and if they say it's OK, make sure you get names and phone numbers of the people you talk to. I've heard from people who have brought their birds across the border many times, but I've also heard from people who had a lot of trouble with it. It seems to depend a lot on who the customs person you get stuck with at the crossing. :-)
There was something in the newspapers a while back about a family whose African Grey was siezed at the border when they were coming back into the US from a vacation. They got the bird back eventually but it sounded like a big hassle.

They look very cute. I heard they are from Africa.
