This little sparrow rented my bird house to raise his offspring. He worked furiously from dawn to dusk feeding the hungry little mouths.

This is so sweet to see.
I had a family of house finches that worked very hard building a nest on the top of the posts for my front porch. We really enjoyed watching the busy parents feeding the babies.
The tragedy was that the raccoons found the nest, climbed up the post and raided it. I was heartbroken :(
I'm now making a protective cover out of clay and once fired will hopefully protect the brood next year.
