And the last - he is landing well. Flaps into a hover and gets it.

As his skills develop you will probably see him hovering less, and instead swooping down below the height of the railing, then climbing again to reduce his speed as he nears the railing.

Since you're flying him outside, it might be wise to print up a couple hundred 'lost bird' flyers with Beans picture, just in case something spooks him out of sight. I'm not saying that you'll need them, but it's better to print them now when you don't need them right away. :-)

Come to think of it, I should make some for Phoebe just in case.

show any suicidal tendancies before Bean began to perfect the landings, or was this finally the one that 'pushed him over the edge' ? :)

Yes good idea about brochures.

Cool I will look for the change from hovering in to low and swooping.

I decided to do this outside since we take Bean out quite often. He goes to the bus stop on Mondays and goes when I take the garbage up the hill.

Teddy bear got killed by Bean about a year ago. He has a love hate relationship with little stuffed animals.

What I am seeing now since our outside session on Sunday: It seems as Bean is getting more confident he is flying a lot closer to the ceiling on his fly to cage sessions. He is trying to hover longer above his cage inside? Yes I know it's only been 2 days but this is a noticeable change since being outside. Still no fly to me but I will work on that.
