I was informed by the breeder I purchased my lovebirds at that the birds were both male, (I have two lovebirds, violet pieds) and this morning I walked in to the room that has their cage and to my astonishment, two little lovebird eggs lay on the bottom.

What should I do? Sherbert (The female, I'm guessing) is only sitting on one of the two. Should I take the other egg out and place it on a heating pad?

Any suggestions would be great.

If you have any further tips, I can be contaced at mccarthycaitlind@hotmail.com

Thank you.

Hi Cait, there are still no guarantees at this stage that your other bird is not female as well? I would try making some kind of nest and place both eggs in it and see if she sits on them, in about 10 days if you hold a torch up to them you should see blood vessels through the egg if this is the case you could have babies on the way if she keeps sitting. Chances are they will be clear but it will give your birds something to do!
