When Bean and I go outside he has really taken a liking o making a huge (for me) flight outside. He takes off from the back yard to circle around the house. By this time he flies through the trees bordering the yard. By the time he makes a looping turn in one of the nighbor's yards he is 100' up over the trees.

The last time, two days ago, he was turning and descending hard. He was turning clockwise and heading back down the side yard to the left of me. I was in the backyard waiting for him. He dissapeared. This meant only one thing: he changed his mind and direction.

I walked up looking for him and didn't see him. I walked into both adjoining neighbor's yards where he usually lands. Didn't find him. After about 5 minutes I heard someone talking. Not like talking to anothr person. Like a person would talk to their dog after they obeyed a sit command for the first time.

I walked out front and the neighbor across the street was talking to the grass.

I walked over and Bean flew right up to me.

The neighbor was going out to lock up a car and saw Bean. He was concerned because he noticed it was not a native bird and Bean was walking toward the road.

I don't doubt for one second that Bean would certainly have walked onto the road and gotten smushed.
