Chico is still sitting on her four eggs. She is very devoted to them and leaves only to eat and get back to them as fast as she can. It will be 3 weeks (GCC incubation period) since the last egg was laid next weekend. I am looking forward to being able to toss those eggs then and get my Chico bird back.
But she does look cute sitting on the eggs. She laid them in a bowl of toys I left in her cage. As you can see she chewed up toys to line the bowl with woodchips.

cute - so I take it she did this solo?

I would remove the bowl at least so she doesn't do it again.

The eggs are infertile.
That's the bowl I used to keep her foot toys in. When she's done, I'm taking the bowl away. She can enjoy her toys just as much without the bowl.
I've probably allowed her to explore dark nestlike places (dresser drawers, ect) too much which might have encouraged the laying. But she has enjoyed exploring in drawers and cupboards for years without laying.

She's just beautiful! What a devoted little mumma she would be if they were fetile. But it's good that you'll get your little pet Chico back soon.
