Have a female African Grey Timneh which is about 7 years old. I realize that this is mostly my fault but, I never got her used to water. She refuses to bath and hates being sprayed. On very rare occasions I have noticed her trying to get a bit wet in her water dish but like said, this is VERY rare.

Is there anyway I can encourage her to bath or at least get used to being sprayed. I'm very concerned agout her skin as I know bathing is beneficial. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Best, B60

Hi, welcome to feather forum.

Depending on your climate, rain being natural, I find to be the answer here. My Bebe hates being sprayed (punishment for screeching), but loves to be out in the rain. Hangs from the top of his outside cage with his wings out and fluffs up etc.

Hope this is of help.
