I bought my budgie almost two and a half weeks ago. I had it hand tamed a week and a half after i got him and the lady at the pet store said he was about 2 and a half months old. Did i tame him too fast?
I also had another question, well i dont think i would call it a question but anyways.. I take him out of his cage everyday so far and he doesn't seem to like it, he might be scare but i dont know. I don't have any placegyms or anything (yet)he might find it a bit boring..i really dont know! I almost have to drag him out of the cage(i dont literaly mean i actualy drag him by the way :) , haha) Do anyone have any advice to maybe make him feel more secure outside of his cage or anything you would sugest to make him less bored ?

-thanks =D

It sounds like you're doing well so far. My Pippin was just like that; I would take him out and let him sit on top of his cage or on my conure's tree stand every day, and he would just sit there looking depressed and unhappy. It took a few months of working with him to get him to the point where he was cheerful, playful, and would seek out attention.
A very simple playgym that your budgie will enjoy is to cut a small fresh branch - preferable with some small side branches and leaves to chew on - from a nonpoisonous tree and attach it to the top of the cage with some clips or cable ties.
It won't look the nicest, but it's a quick way and your budgie should enjoy it. You can also try offering him bits of spray millet on top of his cage so he enjoys coming out more. Eventually he will learn to love coming out; right now he probably just finds everything a bit overwhelming.
If his wings are clipped, please consider letting them grow out. Being able to fly will help his confidence and will probably make him more active and playful.

Thank you so much! But you wouldn't believe what happen.. :( he flew away.. *tears* Here's what happened..
We go camping alot so we brought him with us, and he seemed to like it so we kept on bringing him. And this morning i was trying to take him out of the cage and of course i had trouble taking him out because he kept on jumping back on the perch and when i was trying to get him out my dad opened the door and he even asked me if my bird was out of his cage and my mom answer and she said no. Then my dad left the door open because he was bringing some stuff into the our trailer and then i finally ,of course at that time, got him to come out of the cage and i put him on my shoulder and the second he saw the door open he flew out. It happened so fast it doesn't even feel real to me. We were soposed to leave in the morning from camping but we stayed until it was dark and we put his cage outside but he didn't come back. I went to take a walk around the lake and i didn't expect to hear him..or even see him but i heared him and he sounded really close! i went to go see and i saw him on a tree and i was so close. I told my mom to go get the cage and i had to cage with me and i was about a foot away.. i was SO close i could almost smell him.(that sounds weird eh!!?, but he had this smell not really a bad smell though) I approached the cage but then he flew away..we kept on seeing him here and there and tried to get him into the cage in alot of ways.. but it didn't work, eventually he flew really far that we couldn't see him, but we could still here him chirping a bit but there was no way we could get him ot get back into that cage.*tears*

-I thought i'd just let you know.. even if you don't really care, haha.
But thank you for the tips because i'm getting an other budgie tomorrow if my parents don't have to work.

Since he wasn't really tame, it's unlikely he would come down to people... still there's a small chance he might be found, so if possible, you should try to go back and at least leave a flier at the campground. Also try this site: http://www.birdhotline.com/

I don't think camping in a tent is very safe, at least if a budgie will be left alone. Besides the chance for escape, there's the possibility of predators getting in (raccoons, dogs, ect) - they can rip through a tent.
Please don't rely on a wing clip to prevent a bird from flying off. Despite what some groomers/pet stores may say clipping usually just gives a false sense of security. Wing clipping isn't intended to prevent a bird from flying completely (otherwise the bird could fall and injure itself). And even a budgie that has been clipped enough to be incapable of flight indoors can usually fly outdoors with a bit of a breeze, or when frightened.

We were camping in a camper(fifth wheel) by the way.. i wouldn't even dare to bring him in a tent! and we weren't at a cameground either.. we were just about 20 minutes from our house(well maybe a bit longer than that..i'm not really sure) beside a lake. In our camper, i'd make sure if was too cool or too hot also and i really doubt that predators would have came. I don't think that website would help though because isn't that in the US? and i'm from Canada, but thanks anyways. :) And i think my next bird i'll probably won't get his wings clipped.. i thought they were just soposed to glide.. but i guess its not true, so yeah..whats the point haha.

Sorry. Now I notice you said trailer, not tent. A trailer would be much safer; I've heard of people camping with birds in motorhomes. Just know you can't trust a wingclip to keep a bird from flying away, especially a light bodied bird like a budgie. At best, it will just slow them down a bit.
The Bird Hotline does include Canada, but I looked and there were not many 'found' birds listed. One listing for a blue and white budgie found 8/12.

The bird I lost was blue and white! but its not that one :( because that bird was in ontario and I live in Nova Scotia. I don't think he could have flew that far! But thanks for trying :). Yesterday it was raining and there was a lot of wind..so i'm not sure how my bird is doing :( :|.
I was soposed to get my budgie yesterday but i went to the pet store and the budgies there looked a bit too old but there was another bunch coming in next week so i'll probably get my new bird then.
Would you know how i could make my own playpen for the bird i'm getting. I was thinking i could go get some branches from outside and put it in a flower pot or something and then i would put some toys on it and treats and stuff.(i thought it would give me a little projet while i wait for next week!)But i'm not sure what kind of branches.. would you know? I wanted a playpen from the pet store but with my luck there aren't any..

Ones again,Thanks
