Any tips on keeping the humidity high enough for hatching LB
eggs in an indoor nestbox situation in SoCal (a generally dry area)? I've been spraying the box with water from a spray bottle. Thoughts?

I think you could probably just offer a bath dish. She should probably know to bathe enough to keep the eggs at the right humidity. If she won't bathe, I suppose a little misting might be good, but if she will bathe, I would think the mother would probably be a better judge of proper humidity.

Unfortunately I can't get the female to bathe, although the male adores water and takes baths pretty often (could this help, as he spends a lot of time in the nestbox?). Thanks for commenting!

I would think that if he's going into the nestbox damp, that he's probably keeping it humid enough.
