ive had my new lovebird for about a week now. For the first five days hes been nice and playful. but just yesterday, he started to bite everyone and everything. why is this? also, i feed him seeds mixed with some pellets, but we never see him eating any of it. i tried giving him pieces of apple but he didnt eat that either. i give him millet and i can see that he eats it, but he never touches any of his other food. how can i get him to eat it? and how can i get him to stop biting?

Lovebirds do go through a nippy stage, which should pass. Just keep handling and interacting with him, and he'll move on.
Don't spoil your bird on millet! Take it out of the cage for now, until he eats more nutritious foods. It is a delicious treat, but certainly should not be a diet's base.

My guessn is, that first week he was a little overwhelmed and scared and now he's feeling curious and is playing with you and testing you. Make sure he has toys he can chew up...lovebirds often enjoy just paper to shred.
If he seems to be tame and enjoying your attention (and not biting from fear) then a brief timeout can help with biting. Just put him down and turn away and ignore him for a minute. This works well for TAME birds only.
Millet is healthy but of course not a complete diet. You should take the millet out and offer it to him as a treat, maybe for an hour a day at most. Sprinkle a few of the loose millet seeds in his fresh foods to get him to pick at them. If he doesn't have millet in front of him, he will probably get hungry enough to sample his fresh foods - chances are once he gets a taste for the fruits and veggies he will like them as much as the millet.
