I cannot believe I've had to rejoin with yet another name. Yes it is I, the original Parrotdragon. How is everyone and of course, how is the beautiful Bean?!
Hoot and Polly are sharing the house with the last of this seasons baby 'tiels and seem to be enjoying the antics and stumbling first 'flights' of the growing babies. My living room resembles a zoo with cages everywhere. One of the first of the season's babies is back visiting while his owners are in Japan. Arlo is an absolute gem. He's talking nonstop and has been an excellent 'role model' to the latest lot of babies.
He had an unplanned free flight experience a few days before arriving here. His 'Mom' forgot he was on her shoulder and walked out the door to feed the dog. Poor Arlo just flew off over the roof of the house in fright. Poor Julie spent the day at work dreading how to tell her husband she had lost his precious Arlo!
When she got home that afternoon she spotted Arlo being chased by some swallows and followed them to where he disappeared into some trees on the property. He finally answered her calling him and she could see him trying to climb down from the high branches. It took awhile for him to get down close enough for her to reach up and get him to step up onto her hand. Needless to say the trip back to the safety of the house was done in haste and Arlo was rather relieved to locate his feed and water bowls!
He seems none the worse for his adventure thank goodness, and is more than happy to sit on the play stand with BB (one of the babies) and bopping up and down asking "where's Bonnie?" & "whatcha doin'?"
