Hello everyone. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I have two 4 month old sun conures Rambo & Rascal. I did a DNA test on them and found out one is male and one is female. I changed the names to Rascal & Rainbow. My question is can two birds from the same clutch mate? I know they are too young to do anything right now but I was wondering about in the future. They live together with a 2 year old sun conure name Mango in an 80"x40"x72" cage. I really don't want to separate them but if they are not supposed to mate then I guess I will have to. I am hoping someone out there can help me. Thank you for your time.

No parrot from the same clutch should be encouraged to breed. If you want to breed them you will have to get another pair not of the same clutch.

Usually birds won't breed unless there is nesting material etc. in the cage so I think you should be ok. But if you do witness breeding activity, you should separate the males from female. Look into buying a divider for your cage to save money, rather than buying a new one.
