Okay first hi, I'm new here. I have a indian Ring Neck and I love her to death. We didn't get her as a baby and at first I had no care for birds at all, my mom got me her to make up for not allowing me to have a Ferret that I still want. She got Emerald from a shady petstore that we also got our dog from. Both where under $150 and that shows that they had no clue about animals. My dog, a puppy at the time is a pure bread that is rare to find in Alaska. Now they knew nothing about the bird, not if it was a male or female or how old it was. Late when she was staying with my ex she laid a egg. Shes living with me again and has been for a few months, her and I are really close. she loves to be around people and loves to dance to country music. But we have a problem with her that may require me to sell her within five months. She yells. All the time, no matter what. I think its cuz shes bored and I can't have her out of the cage all day ripping up my books. she loves to ripe paper. As soon as you put the paper in her cage she'll have nothing to do with it. she wont use any of her toys and we have tried quite a few. She attacks it like she is trying to let out fustration but that is it, other than that she ignores them. One of the reasons i can't have her out all day or even alot of the day is that she bites. Its not a love bite or trying to test her limits. She really bites to draw blood and its when you lease expect it. She will be wanting to be petted on secend and than turn around and take a chunk out of your hand. I moved the cage on the floor and she is doing alittle better but she still bites at unpridictable times. Shes a very smart bird but so very hard to deal with. I don't want to sell her or give her away but if she is still yelling all the time and attacking for no reason I can not take her with us when my boyfriend and I get a apartment of our own. Any help you can give me would be great. I'm at a loss of what to do with her and I would feel horrible giving someone a bird that will yell all the time and take chunks out of their body.
