General Discussion
I have 2 adorable parakeets at the moment. I wanted to get some household plants. I know that some plants can be harmful to birds. Any recommendations?

A quick internet search should show lists of safe houseplants. Most lists are based on what is poisonous to mammals but it is a good place to start (some plants poisonous to mammals are safe for birds).
Ones I know are ok are spider plant, jade plant, schleffera (umbrella plant), Norfolk pine, dracaena, aloe, african violet, ect. - there are many others but that's what I can think of.
Any new plant should be very thoroughly rinsed off to remove fertilizer and pesticide residues that are usually on the leaves.
