Hi there, i am new to this forum and to counures. i am getting a baby conure, will i have to trim its nails often? how about ist beak? what will its poo be like? (watery or solid?) are they very messy? will i need a skirt around the cage? how are they compaired to quakers? i know about quakers, so if someone here could tell me the similarities, and differences....that would be AWSOME!

thanks in advance for ALL of your help!

Basic care really is pretty much the same as for a quaker. They're a little smaller than quakers and normally quieter and less destructive, but also usually not good talkers. They are usually cuddly and affextionate, depending on hiw they're raised and treated (of course quakers are too).
With a healthy bird with a variety of perches and toys and a normally shaped beak, you should not need groom the beak at all. I trim my GCC's claws maybe 2x a year.
They are messy... usuual parrot mess. If you plan to have your conure spend time on top of the cage, you might want the skirt. They seem to be naturally very fastidous and try to avoid pooping on their perches and toys, usually by pooping off the side of the cage when sitting on top.
