I have a new conure, Reba, that I got 4 days ago through a family friend. Her owner had passed away and the owner's husband did not want to take care of her anymore. She seems to be pretty smart, but isn't very sure of us yet. She has stepped up on my finger twice now, and other times when I offer her my finger, she nips me. I know I am being impatient and I can't just expect her to love me right away, especially since she is 13 years old and set in her ways. I have never owned a conure before, just a very affectionate amazon parrot. Can anyone offer any advice for me to help me bond with her?
