I have had my ringneck now for 2 months. I know that everyone says to teach your bird to step up! My problem is she will not come to me to step up and if I put my hand up near her she runs away. When she flies off her cage then she will step up but only then. She comes out of her cage on her own but if I go to her she will run. Any help would be wonderful.

I have the same problem with my ringnecks I cant teach them for the life of me to step up. But I have had progress! Recently I got their wings clipped and after getting over the fact that they cant fly they have been happy for my help getting around so I have been working on step up. Hope this helps
