my new baby has clipped wings, what is the concenus re clipping wings as opposed to not.

I had a quaker for 15 years and never clipped her wings but she was a totally different personality than my new baby who is very smart and picking up words after just two weeks with us. We have cats in the house but no children running in and out doors that she could escape out. The cats are used to a bird in the house and for the most part could care less.
Any advice on anything pionus will be appreciated by me.

This forum is pretty quiet.
I don't clip wings myself.
I think that whether you clip or not is not something you will have to decide on until your baby is at least 9 or 10 months old.. when she starts molting the clipped feathers.
Do you know if she was fledged (learned to fly) before being clipped? Can she fly at all now? That does makes a difference, in how well she will fly once her flight feathers grow in, and in how confident she will be at flying. A more confident bird will enjoy flying more, and get more exercise, but can also be more prne to getting into trouble.
