So I have these 2 parakeets that I recently obtained from someone. I believe they're both young-ish males. After a few weeks, I think they're used to the new environment and most of the time they behave and sit around chirping or playing with bell. They're still a little afraid of me but I've been trying to put my hand in the cage so they get used to it and generally they tolerate it.

However, every morning, they wake up and start going nuts. They start by chirping loudly, then sqawking, then they start pecking at each other and chasing each other around the cage making tons of noise. That lasts for a few hours and then they're chill the rest of the day. They don't seem to fight about their food either. They just look really scared and are just aimlessly flying about. I love these guys but this going nuts in the morning is really annoying and I feel like I'm going deaf. They seem okay at other times so I have no idea what's wrong with them. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Do you cover the cage at night?
It's normal for them to get a little excited when they first wake up, though they might also be seeing something that scares them in the morning. If there is bright sunlight falling on the cage in the morning they might also be seeing the shadows of outdoor birds crossing the cage which could be scaring them.
Either way, just moving them a little farther from a window and covering them for the night should help.
