I just received a red lored amazon. This is her 4th home. At first she was very sweet to me. She loved when I pet her and constantly called for me. Today was a different story. She doesn't want me in the same room as her. She tries to bite me, even if I'm several feet away from her. I am not sure what happened or what to do.

My first thought - if it's a sudden change - is that there is something new frightening her.
Is there a change in your appearance? Birds are very visually oriented, and your bird is in a new home and probably still a little uncertain or nervous. Sometimes things as simple as a hair cut or nail polish can make a bird nervous.
Another possiblity is that she has developed an attachment to a toy and is protecting it (particularly 'egg like' toys like toy balls).
