I am a new breeder of sun conure. I have bought this pair from Pakistan. Now its about 2 months being with me. I have feed then sunflower seed , corn, cocktail mix and some vegetable. My bird’s cage is about 3 ft long 2 ft wide and 4 ft high. I also add the nesting box which is 1 ft long 1 ft high and 1 ft depth. After adding this next it’s always staying that nest after 3 to 4 pm and get out form there after 6 am. I have confusion about the gender how could I find out male and female. In Bangladesh there is no DNA sexing lab where I can get actual gender. Is there any appearance or behavior which I can identify the male and female?

The only sure way to tell is to have them DNA sexed. also it is very hard to breed birds. Just getting them to lay fertalized eggs is a challenge. I know with larer birds it is better if they are around 8-10 years of age before breeding them. YOu also need and egg incubator, hand feeding experience(if you want tame birds) a good avian vet to help you. I would look into this more and gather a lot more information before attempting to breed them. You do not want your bird to get egg bound or any other problems that can arise with breeding.
