I have been breeding eclecus for the last 3 years. On every occation they lay 2 eggs but we get only one chick. We don't know the reason why we loose the second one? is it any deficiency in food?.

It's hard to know why this is happening. It is possible that since they've only been breeding 3 years it is still trial & error. Ekkies, when relatively new at breeding can sometimes get it wrong for the first few years.

Do you know how far apart the eggs are being laid & is the female keeping the second egg under her, or ditching it out of the nest after the first hatched, or one ends up being cracked or broken????
