One more question.....My green cheek sleeps on a perch. Is it better to get a sleep tent or something he can crawl into?
Thanks.

A sleep tent is a personal choice. I prefer not to use them simply because it can lead to hormonal behaviour & the bird having the need to nest in it.
Many other people though have no problems with it.
Sleeping on a single branch is natural for parrots.
