Hi, I have just joined your group. I had a budgie for over six years, Capt. Kirk the Parakeet (one of four names I gave him over time). I was devastated when he died. I went online and subscribed to Bird Talk Mag. and learned everything I could. I continue to learn and look forward to my next budgie. Unfortunately where I now live, a neighbor sprays his patio with pesticides that somehow make their way into my apt. I have been thinking that when I move in the next year, I'll get my new bird but now I'm not sure. I may not have enough money to set aside for vet visits, so I may just have to live without a birdie of my own and enjoy birds vicariously through other people owned by their birds!
