...that 14 parrots was more than enough. Then a wonderful gentleman that's a customer of the pest control service for whom I work during the day (at home) had to give up his 2 cockatiels. I have a special spot for pointy-headed boids and I couldn't say no. These guy are 7 and 8 years old and have always been flighted and he knew that another owner would most likely clip them first thing.

Actually 16 parrots isn't much different than 14, as these 2 pretty much keep themselves occupied. They fly around and amuse themselves, coming to one of us every so often for scritches and kissy-face, then they're off again. Not any trouble at all, really...and they've been like a drug for old Pokey...I'll write more about that in the cockatiel forum but that main point of this journal entry is really how wonderful it is to see Pokey come alive again, and how satisfying it is to have the happy whistles of cockatiels once again filling my house!

That's awesome. 24 is pretty old for a tiel, isn't it? Your birds must get a lot of loving care, lucky fids!

Congratulations!

Coincidentally, both of my birds also came from owners who were looking for someone who would continue to let them fly.
