Seems like a pretty high wing loading. Kind of reminds me of the Wooden Goose - heh. I never thought about Lovebirds before you started with your posts.

The first four primaries on each side are clipped about by about 1/3, what the breeder called a "baby clip," done the day before i met him. i'm sure that has some effect... he does remarkably well with it, to where it's barely noticeable in most cases. Mature LB flyers are very sleek and acrobatic in the air, able to make very tight turns and fly through tiny spaces sideways (dense jungle maneuvers).

He does look a bit "goosey." This is one of my favorite pics because it captures Mouse's "joyful kamikaze" approach to flying.
