Hi, I found this place a few days ago and finally got around to introducing my birds and posting a pic of them. They actually belong to my 17 yr old son, who 3 years ago decided he wanted the neighbours horrible noisey cocky, that they were getting rid of due to the noise. My hubby and I both said no way, we had listened to him scream for 9 months and I felt it was so cruel to keep a bird like that locked in a tiny cage. Anyway, he talked us into it, mainly by saying Jo would end up in an even worse situation if we didn't take him. I knew nothing about keeping a cockatoo, so began the long process of learning. We have made a lot of mistakes and poor Jo has paid for it, he now chews his feathers a bit. He hates my son, overbonded to me, and is scared of Agro. Agro joined us a year after we got Jo, he is much more well-adjusted, but doesn't have the baggage Jo has. We are slowly working towards getting these birds into a situation where I feel they have a reasonable quality of life, next step is a large aviary as our house is too small for them to get much exercise at all. Agro has done some freeflight but I don't feel our training is sufficient to safely let him do this. Both these guys are real little characters, and can be really sweet, but both bite and are aggressive to other people so we have our hands full. It's a work in progress. Nicky
