Having trouble selecting posts for copying. Tries to pickup but all the left side gets selected as well? Anyone else have problems?

Would like to cross post B&G to give away on another group. Is this OK to do?

The "select everything" problem is due to a bug in Internet Explorer. If you have Mozilla or Firebird (or just about any other web browser, I think), you can select stuff properly. Unfortunately for me, 99% of the world uses Internet Explorer, so this is something I need to fix.

Basically I need to re-do the templates for the whole site so that the layout is done with HTML tables instead of div sections (translation: do the page layouts the old-fashioned way). That's going to take a day or two to get right. I spent a couple hours on it tonight and only succeeded in hiding that bug by exposing another bug.

Rumor has it that Microsoft is working on a new version of IE, but I'm not holding my breath. :-) I gotta find a way to fix this.

Cross posting is just fine with me. It'd be nice if you included a link to http://www.featherforum.com/ when you copy stuff. :-)

Yeah, but I don't know anyone on that team. But I do know that this bug has been pretty well documented, I've seen plenty of web designer people complain about it online. I'd better shut up now before I say something that jeopordizes my employment. :-)

The 'dimbo' has done it!!!!!

I cross posted (and Nate, I even remembered to include the link) Here's how I did it.....

First I picked up the whole page and copied it. Tranferred it to my e-mail and pasted it there. Made a draft and deleted all the unwanted stuff. Then made a copy of that which posted fine on the other site.
There is probably an easier way and I've probably also broken some unknown computer rules, but I think I'm a genius anyway. :)
