enWanting to help our lovebird progress
http://www.featherforum.com/node/view/3249
About 2 months ago we were given a lovebird that had become mean after starting to lay eggs. She was hand tamed to begin with and as soon as she laid eggs she became a biting monster. We took her home and immediately took all of the thing where she could lay eggs out of her cage. Sun, 22 Jun 2008 21:18:15 -0400Paralyzed toes

I have two lovebirds that were given to me. I know very little about them, so if anyone has any tips for me, that would be great. My concern today is, I came home a cpl days ago to discover the female was acting very clumsy. Wed, 19 Mar 2008 22:23:02 -0400How old is my lovebird? Here is a pic

A friend gave him to me. I've had him for a week. I feed him baby bird formula and I have started the weaning process. But how old is he? I am guessing he is a little over 3 weeks. Any ideas? Thanks! Tue, 12 Feb 2008 09:47:59 -0500paper stuffing in back feathers???

http://www.featherforum.com/node/view/3041
I have had two lovebirds for around 10 years now. Just recently I had to put one to sleep due to a tumor. I am worried about the other bird adjusting and am not sure what to do. She is elderly herself and I am afraid that if I get another lovebird the older bird will get stressed out. Tue, 25 Sep 2007 16:03:37 -0400Need help with a lovebird - new bird owner
http://www.featherforum.com/node/view/2845
I'm the proud mom of three cats, six fish, and now...a 7 year old lovebird named Romeo as of yesterday afternoon. I've never owned birds before, so this is brand new to me. His owner gave him (along with cage and all necessities) to us because his mate (Juliet) died and she couldn't bear having him alone. He's extremely vocal, and seems to be adjusting well as I've seen him play with the toys in his cage a few times. Fri, 25 May 2007 07:31:53 -0400Looking for a new home

I adopted my daughters Peach Face Lovebird 2 years ago, and later that year adopted a baby lovebird to keep him company. Oliver lived with my daughter for the first 5 years of his life, and is a special little guy. He is very sweet and docile. He loves to be loved, and loves to spend time with his human companion. He is gentle with his beak and just happy to sit and sing. Anley the younger lovebird is a very pretty little guy. He has a "lovebird" personality and gets into mischief. He's a cream, gray and blue with a slight ting of yellow on his forehead. Both are used to freedom. The only time they have been caged for the two years they have lived with me is at night. They have their own room where they spend most of the day, and have free flight in the house frequently. Mon, 16 Apr 2007 13:30:05 -0400I need help

http://www.featherforum.com/node/view/2706
I have a small cage that I use to take my lovebird outside occasionally for an hour or so. Is there any harm in this? He seems to enjoy it and there is a wild lovebird population in the area (Scottsdale, AZ) so I know the weather is ok. I just wonder if psychologically it is ok. He seems fine but I don't want him to be bummed out that he is not "free" :( Sat, 17 Feb 2007 23:27:01 -0500Trying to not do all seeds... help?

Hi. I've had my sweetie lovebird for about 6 months. I have a feeding question~ he eats SOME fresh foods but is fickle and won't eat them daily. Also, if I put his small hookbill food in there, it seems like he picks through and only eats the seeds. Sat, 17 Feb 2007 23:24:16 -0500just got a new lovebird

I have a Blue Black-masked Lovebird that I just brought home a week ago. I am working with him everyday so he gets used to me and to being held. What is the best way of taking him out of his cage, so he will just come to my hand? As of right now, I put my hand in there, which seems to scare him because he tries to avoid it. I don't want to do more harm than good by chasing him around in his cage with my hand. Sun, 09 Jul 2006 15:12:52 -0400
