very noisy male cockatiel

Hi, I have a 5 month old male cockatiel, Bailey.

He is the most noisy thing and though i love him dearly, it is getting so ridiculous he can sometimes go for 3 hours at a time continually screaming. it sounds horrible, but he has got a beautiful big cage with a perch on the top where he sits freely, fresh water, plenty of foods and constant attention.

Hi, new to the forums. I have a 2 year old cockatiel called Arnie and I am not sure if he/she is a male or female. he/she backs into the corner of the cage with its tail up and makes a high pitched squeaking noise. At first i thought it was going to lay an egg but this has been going on for about a year and a half and hasnt layed any eggs. Could anyone help?

Hi all, im new to this forum and have just brought a pair of cockatiels and put them in my avairy(alone) im hoping to breed them and need some advice on next boxes. i brought one from my local pet shop but now im starting to wonder if it will be ok it seams abit tall (its around 15 in. tall and 8 in deep and 8 in wide) sorry if its a stupid question but im new to this. i will add pics of them tomorrow.

Hi-I have 5 cockatiels. I had 4 for some time and then I got the 5th one from one of my relatives. Her name is Duffy. I keep her in the midst of the others and they mingle, but she is a "people-person" so to speak and enjoys us mostly as her main brood.

Possible broken leg or talon...HELP!

Our bird Ruby early this morning apparently got his foot/toe/talon caught in a small opening in his cage. Now, he BARELY puts any weight on the food and just isn't himself. His back talon doesn't seem to be moving that I am noticing. He still tries to climb up the walls of his cage and seems to be able to do a lot with his other foot. But it is obviously that something is wrong with the foot that got hurt.

hi everyone I live in the canary islands, having brought over my 3 hand tame cockatiels from England.I would love to put them in an aviary all together , I have 2 males and 1 female (brother and sister and one other male bonded to the girl ) two s company 3 s a crowd.

I have researched the web and asked many questions at all the local pet stores and have ended up thoroughly confused. I have an albino cockatiel that is 27 years old, he flew to my house back in 1985, no small feat, he got past 2 big Labradors, had survived a cat attack, and we did find his former owners that had him locked in a rabbit cage WITH a rabbit and he was eating only corn that you give chickens.

i named her Mara Zeina which translates into Pretty Girl in Arabic. I just call her Mara though. she is so sweet she has never bit me just a playfull nip and when i scratch her head she chirps and leans in closer to me. I want to train her. her wings are clipped and she already knows to step up but is there any more training or should i teach her tricks? if so could you recomend some tricks?

I got my cockatiel sunday shes beautiful. when i pet her she puts her crest back almost all the way with a little bit up. also she makes a weird chirp sound and closes her eyes when i rub her head. sh

i got my cockatiel sunday its monday. she is awesome i just have a few questions. 1 when i rub her head she makes this weird squeak is she mad content or what. 2 also when i rub her head she closes her eyes what does that mean.

My 14 year old female cockatiel has been showing some pretty obvious signs of aging over the last few years. She's developed bald spots on her wings and "cheeks"(ears) but as of the last year her wings have managed to fold UNDER her feet. Somedays it's just one wing that gets stuck, other days it's both. She has trouble walking and moving around and occasionally will fall off of her perch, for lack of more eloquent wording, pooping all over herself. We bath her weekly to stop the build up from handicapping her any futher. Is there anything that we can do for her to make her more comfortable? We've tried to carefully unfold her wings and place them back but they end up folding right back under her body within minutes. Is something else seriously wrong with her or is it just old age setting in? I just feel so bad for her, I've had her since she was a hatchling, I fed her from a bottle. It's hard to see her like this. Here are some pictures of what I'm talking about:

Hi I am the owner of an almost 3 year old Light Grey female teil. I have had her since she was only a few months old. I am concerned because within the last year "Taya" has been getting these kind of plastic looking casings on her feathers. These casing are mostly around her head on the long feathers (not sure what they are called) on the top of her head. I try and pull them off but it's hard to get all of them. Is this normal or is there something wrong with her??

Rodney was ok a few hours ago now.....his poop falls out off him or rather water and when i gave him a drink he SCREAMED!!

He is just sitting there wobbly!
