My latest pet is a young mourning dove "Cooper". I have much experience in handraising pigeons, cockatiels, etc. i live in amish country, PA, so their were plenty of nests around. however, i heard that it is very hard to make a wild animal tame.

Im Luxs and i've just found a Sparrow (I think) lying in my dogs kennel. At first i thought it was dead, but it was hopping around and screeching. I've had it for a day now, and i'm completely lost and unsure of what to do with it.

I AM INTERESTED IN PURCHASING ONE BUT NEED SOME INFO THERE IS LITTLE TO BE FOUND OTHER THAN THEY ARE PRETTY BIRDS. MY QUESTION IS DO THEY MAKE A LOT OF NOISE, AND ARE GOOD WITH OTHER BIRDS I HAVE A BABY SUN CONURE THEY BREEDER SAID THEY MAKE GREAT PETS AND ARE MODERATELY LOUD, DOES ANY ONE OWN ONE THAT COULD HELP ME.

Sunnymom, I saw you mention your canary and that got me really curious. I have heard that hand-raised canaries can be very social with people, but I've also hear that those are exremely hard to find (because hand raising is a lot of work, and it's hard to get people to spend much money on a canary).

I have a Blue Crown Conure his name is Cookie Monster. I have had him for 5 years about two and a half years ago his dropping began smelling very fowl and I thought it was the cage, and ask the lady I bought him from about this problem

I had a month infestation last year from some wild bird seed that I kept indoors too long, I got rid of most of them but still see one from time to time... I heard the other day that someone took in a button quail and it ate all the moths in her house.

What have I left out?
